OCTOBER TIDE are the outfit created by KATATONIA's vocalist Jonas Renske, also known under his stage name of 'Lord Seth'. Guitarist Fredrik Norrman, besides citing KATATONIA credentials himself, is an erstwhile member of FULMINATION and UNCANNY. Frontman Mårten Hansen has affiliations to A CANOUROUS QUINTET, VOTUR and SINS OF OMISSION. A 1995 promotional tape preceded the 1997 album 'Rain Without End'. OCTOBER TIDE's 1999 album 'Grey Dawn' was recorded for Avantgarde Records.

Renske involved himself in the BLOODBATH Black Metal supergroup in 1999 alongside his KATATONIA band mate guitarist Blackheim, OPETH's Mikael Akerfeldt and EDGE OF SANITY's Dan Swanö.

'Rain Without End' was re-issued with new artwork in the USA during March 2009 by Candlelight Records.
