It would emerge in March of 2004 that the CANDLEMASS and ZOIC pairing of lead guitarist Lars Johansson and drummer Jan Lindh had forged a new band venture billed as CREOZOTH in alliance with X-PLODE vocalist Michael Storck and bassist the OZ and RED FUN credited bassist Tobbe Moen. The unusual band name was apparently, according to Johansson, in honour of the 'Monty Python' character Mr. Creosote who ate so much he exploded. Escapi Music set a 25th October 2005 North American release date for the Stockholm based band's debut album, produced by Johansson at Soundland Studio in Upplands Väsby.
