Stockholm Thrash act CONSPIRACY came together during 1987, initially under the CEMENTERY banner. Demo recordings were undertaken, although these sessions would not be publically released. As CONSPIRACY the group put in a handful of local concerts before disbanding. Guitarist Henrik "Hempa" Brynolfsson, bassist Lars Rosenberg and drummer Per Ax duly forged CARBONIZED.

This same CONSPIRACY triumvirate woold make a keen impression on the Swedish extreme Metal scene, Brynolfsson with CRUCIFIED, EXCRUCIATE, INTERNAL DECAY and MYKORRHIZA, Ax with both CRUCIFIED and EXCRUCIATE whilst Rosenberg travelled through such bands as ENTOMBED, FURCAS, MENTAL DISTORTION, MONASTERY, ROACHPOWDER, THE ROBOTS, SERPENT and THERION. Second CONSPIRACY guitar player Magnus Barthelson featured in FORMICIDE and THERION.

Former CONSPIRACY guitarist Anders Kragh Ericson also holds a wealth of scene credits with ARGENTO, SOBRE NOCTURNE, KAJARR, MASTER MASSIVE, KLOKUS and THE EDGE OF TWILIGHT. Petter Karlsson, of KAJARR, MASTER MASSIVE, ARGENTO and THERION repute, also served with CONSPIRACY.
