Blues based Stoners dating back to 1997. SOUTHFORK came together with a union of vocalist / guitarist Gunnar Lööf and drummer Sebastian Sippola. By the summer of the following year the band was rounded out with the addition of guitarist Henrik Bergqvist and bassist Anders Fästader, the latter having already made a name for himself with GREAT KING RAT, TITANIC TRUTH and with JOHN NORUM's band. Following completion of the 'Straight Ahead' album Thomas Thorberg supplanted Fästader.

Both Thorberg and Sippola would feature on the debut PLANKTON album. Sebastian Sippola joined the touring line-up of the GLENN HUGHES band in the Spring of 2005. Henrik Bergqvist journeyed on to play with TIAMAT and in June 2008 joined THE POODLES.
