COSMIC DEATH, convened in 1997, is a Skellefteå based solo Thrash Metal endeavour of the highly industrious Vintersorg (a.k.a. Andreas Hedlund). Along with this project, the multi-instrumentalist also operates as vocalist for OTYG, BORKNAGAR, FISSION and CRONIAN, as well as holding past credits with MASTICATOR, Prog-Rock act WATERCLIME, HAYAYOTH and YARGATRON.

The project disbanded following the March 2007 demo 'Transfiguration Black', recorded at Offbeat Studios in Jakobsberg. However, COSMIC DEATH was re-activated during 2008.
