A Sala based melodic Death Metal unit. Guitarist Hakan Stuvemark is an erstwhile member of Deathcore unit WOMBBATH. Vocalist Jonas Nyrén is known also frontman for ARCH ENEMY guitarist Christopher Amott's side endeavour ARMAGEDDON. IN THY DREAMS, after debuting with the mini album 'Stream Of Dispraised Souls' in 1997, would suffer when their label Wrong Again took a lengthy hiatus.

The same year drummer Stefan Westerberg and guitarist Jari Kuusisto, both also operating as members of STEEL ATTACK, founded a further side act entitled CARNAL FORGE in alliance with STEEL ATTACK personnel Johan Magnusson and Dennis Vestman along with Jonas Kjellgren of DELLAMORTE and CENTINEX.

The record company finally re-emerged as War Music issuing the greatly delayed Pelle Saether produced 'The Gate Of Pleasure' in 1999.

IN THY DREAMS replaced vocalist Jonas Nyrén with Thomas Lindfors. 'Highest Beauty', once more with production duties delegated to Saether, was delivered in November 2001. Japanese editions came complete with an exclusive bonus track 'Side Thoughts Swirl Chaotically'.

In February 2007 it was announced that Stefan Westerberg had joined forces with a brand new, melodic Death Metal inclined project called KRYPTILLUSION. Kristofer Nilsson of UNDIVINE handled lead vocals whilst Mike Wead, of KING DIAMOND and MERCYFUL FATE, featured on lead guitar and Fredrik Groth from THE STORYTELLER assumed bass duties.
