Biography
Gothenburg Grindsters assembled in October of 2000, debuting live as support act to NASUM just two months later. RELEVANT FEW feature GARDENIAN and ex-GOOSEFLESH bass player Robert Hakemo and DRACENA, MINDSNARE, SANDALINAS, RUNEMAGICK and LORD BELIAL credited drummer Morbid Mojjo (a.k.a. Daniel Moilanen). Formatively, the group also included ABANDON guitarist Johan Nilsson.
A February 2001 demo session secured a contract with the Swedish No Tolerance label for the first album 'Who Are Those Of Leadership?'. A tour ranked alongside NAPALM DEATH was secured but the band would be forced to withdraw when singer J.C. quit the band. Henke Svensson was drafted for an appearance at the May 2002 'Fuck The Commerce V' festival in Neiden, Germany. Moilanen bailed out upon completion of the sophomore album 'The Art Of Today', issued in November of 2003, but made a return in December.
The band recorded a cover of NUCLEAR ASSAULT's 'Critical Mass' in December of 2003 for use on a compilation album issued through Evigt Lidande Productions. The same label also readied a live album entitled 'Live: Revolution!', recorded at a June 2002 show in Pianobaren, Trollhättan. The November 2003 album 'The Art Of Today' would witness a swift re-issue through New Hawen Records the following year. Mojjo decamped but made a return in mid 2004. However, Moilanen also performed with Horror Metal act NOTRE DAME for the band's Summer festivals appearances as a stand in for original drummer Mannequin De Sade, who was sidelined due to an apparent "self-inflicted injury."
RELEVANT FEW opened for VADER's Gothenburg gig in August before uniting with GADGET for a run of German "Born to Booze, Live to Grind" dates the following month. In September Moilanen officially joined NOTRE DAME. The band would act as support to DEICIDE on their November Swedish shows.
In March 2005 Morbid Mojjo re-emerged as member of the new band ENGEL, a Gothenburg based quintet also featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson, ex-THE CROWN, Niclas Engelin, of PASSENGER, GARDENIAN and IN FLAMES repute, bassist Robert Hakemo, ex-GARDENIAN and GOOSEFLESH together with vocalist Mangan Klavborn.
RELEVANT FEW line-up changes saw vocalist Henke Svensson leaving the group due to "a lack of interest and dedication" and being duly replaced by the group's previous frontman, Johan Carlzon. In August 2006 Robert Hakemo joined M.A.N.
