Örebro band WITHIN REACH started out as a Hardcore act but pursued more Metal leanings with each release. The band had been formed in Arboga in the beginning of 1996 with a line-up comprising former personnel from PASSAGE 4 and LIFELESS IMAGE, Magnus T, guitarist Björn Hahne, bassist Magnus Brolin and Jocke Eeiksson on drums. Robin was added to the line-up in June 1998. A self-financed EP, 'The Light Will Return', preceded a contract with Burning Heart Records. Successive releases would include 'Something's Not Right' EP, the 'Strength Through Diversity' album and the 'Reconsider/Reconstruct' EP. Polish label Shing Industries also released cassette versions of each as well as a WITHIN REACH split 7" single with the legendary Polish Hardcore band 1125.

WITHIN REACH was subsequently fronted by Denny "The Dodge" Axelsson. WITHIN REACH's 2001 album 'Complaints Ignored' was recorded at Soundlab Studios in Ȫrebro with NASUM's Mieszko Talarzcyk acting as producer. Ex-WITHIN REACH drummer Jonas founded ALL HELL in January 2004. Axelsson would found SWEDISH MASSACRE and also join both CALM and MARAMON.
