SECOND SKY is a "Post-Prog" project of DAN SWANÖ, one of the leading lights of the Swedish extreme Metal scene. Hailing from Örebro, Swanö's influence on the Swedish music scene, besides his production work and fronting of priority act EDGE OF SANITY, includes involvement in other acts as diverse as UNICORN, PAN.THY.MONIUM, GODSEND, WOUNDED KNEE and NIGHTINGALE among others.

Signing to The End Records the band cut the 'Skydiving' album for 2004.

Dan Swanö contributed guest lead vocal tracks to a cover version of MOXY's 'Out Of The Darkness' for inclusion on OVERDRIVE and LOCOMOTIVE BREATH guitarist Janne Stark's November 2006 MOUNTAIN OF POWER tribute collection.
