NIVA was previously known as AXIA, a successful AOR act that adopted the new name after many line-up changes. The group would eventually finalize themselves with the recruitment of ex-ZANITY, SWEDISH EROTICA and TRACY GOES CRAZY vocalist Tony Niva.

Drums on the 'No Capitulation' album were handled by EUROPE man HÃ¥kan (Ian) Haugland.
