A bizarre, Stoner infused side project fronted by HAMMERFALL vocalist Joacim Cans. MRS. HIPPIE had actually been operational prior to the success of HAMMERFALL having contributed a version of 'I Want You' to a KISS tribute album. For sporadic live work the band pulled in IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers.

With HAMMERFALL taking priority MRS. HIPPIE folded. Guitarist Christian Smedstrom busied himself with AWESOME MACHINE whilst drummer Mike Vai put his efforts into BRASSMONKEYS and HARDCORE SUPERSTAR. Cans would find a gap in HAMMERFALL's schedule to reconvene MRS. HIPPIE for the 2000 'Lotus' album.
