Although signed in 2003 the TEARS OF ANGER project, instigated by the Jansson brothers vocalist Björn and guitarist Benny, was in fact rooted in the much earlier act MINDCRIME. During the early 90s MINDCRIME, enlisting Anders Johansson of HAMMERFALL and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN repute, on drums, had cut an unreleased album for Black Mark subsidiary Montezuma Records. When the record was shelved Björn subsequently fronted up TWO ROCKS and SNAKES IN PARADISE, also gaining guest credits on albums by ERIKA. Meantime, BENNY JANSSON recorded for SNAKECHARMER, RACKATEER and JOHANSSON BROTHERS and had cut three solo albums 'Virtual Humanity', 'Flumride' and 'Save The World'.

Reconstituted during 2003 as TEARS OF ANGER, the Jansson's enrolled THERION and MIND'S EYE man Johan Niemann on bass guitar and MIND'S EYE and FARO drummer Daniel Flores for an album 'Still Alive' recorded for the Finnish label Lion Music. Both Jansson and Flores also featured with singer Göran Edman for the XSAVIOR project band and the 2005 album 'Caleidoscope'.
