MACHINEGUN KELLY founders Andy Pierce (real name Anders Persson) and drummer Stanley (real name Jörgen Olsson) were previously both members of NASTY IDOLS. Olsson was also an erstwhile member of WIZZY BLAZE. Whilst Cliff (real name Clifford Lundberg) and Lefty (real name Robert Jörgensson) were ex-members of ANTI CIMEX and BLACK UNIFORM, they were doubling up in Punk act DRILLER KILLER as well as playing in MACHINEGUN KELLY.
The quartet joined forces as MACHINEGUN KELLY in 1993, scoring a one album deal with Megarock for the release of 'White Line Offside' The band's video for the title track, an anti-drug song, was banned by Swedish TV as it purported to show the band using drugs.
