Biography

Linköping Death Metal band CARRION CARNAGE was manifested during 2001 by guitarist Daniel Linder in union initially with Ulf StÃ¥hl and Johan Dyyk. Linder also has association with SVARTUS KRÅKUS SATANICUS. This trio soon fractured without recording, the latter going on to WELTSCHMERZ and EYES OF ICE. In 2002 Stefan Jörbo of CHROME enrolled on guitar and this duo entered La Bomba Studios to craft the demo 'Evil'. Upon completion of these sessions Linder switched instruments to take command of the drums.

In 2003 Janne Hyytiä was taken on to cover guitar and bass but would exit before the year was out. Back to a duo once again, the March 2003 album 'Mass Murder Rampage' featured a rendition of SIX FEET UNDER's 'No Warning Shot'. As the year closed ex-PURGAMENTUM man Jakob Selbing was inducted on drums for CARRION CARNAGE's inaugural live performance.

In side activity, CARRION CARNAGE members, guitarist Johan Hertil, bass player Pelle Djahedi and drummer Daniel Linder, forged the extracurricular project SNIPPA (Swedish for 'Cunt') in 2003 working with vocalist Magnus "Strigge" Strigner. This venture evolved into the less brazen ZNIPPA before taking on the TOTAL INCINERATION tag for a 2003 demo entitled 'Perverse Suffering'.

CARRION CARNAGE's March 2004 album 'Awaiting Salvation Of Death' included a cover versions of CANNIBAL CORPSE's 'Hammer Smashed Face' and NILE's 'Ruins'
