Biography

BAD BUSINESS was founded in Lidköping during 1984 by ex-NECTARIS vocalist The Flea (a.k.a. Stefan Larsson), guitarist Chris Crash (Christer Hjort), drummer Rich n' Famous (Ola Lugner) and bass player T.T. Tonic (Dan Högberg), originally under the name BAD BOYS. Early live repertoire consisted of NAZARETH, SWEET, BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE and BAD COMPANY covers, soon supported by own material written by the band, still sticking to the 70's style of Hard Rock.

In 1986 BAD BUSINESS recorded their debut album 'There's No Business Like...' at EMI studios in Stockholm, as well as releasing a promotion EP that included 'Stealin' My Best Friends Woman' and 'Rock This House'. Despite the group's distinctive, yet out of vogue, 70s brand of Rock BAD BUSINESS did good business in Sweden.

1987 witnessed a line-up changes, due to Chris Crash's relocation moving to Gothenburg. Guitarist Johnny Walker left in 1987 to be replaced by Billy De Kid but the band folded in 1988. The Flea and TT Tonic formed BACKSEAT later that same year, crafting a series of demos but drawing to a halr in 1990. TT Tonic then enrolled in 4 US. Meanwhile, Rich n' Famous formed MAFFICK together with NECTARIS guitarist Torbjörn Holm and BAD BUSINESS roadie Anders 'Bobbo' Peterson on bass. In 1991 TT Tonic too joined epic Hard Rock outfit MAFFICK, this recruitment seeing Bobbo switch to playing organ. In 2001 the band released a retrospective rehearsal CD 'And The Weather Was Fine...'.
