Karlshamn melodic Death Metal band previously known as STIGMATA, formed in January 2000 by guitarist Johan Blomström, second guitarist Tobias Olsson and singer Niklas Svensson. BLINDED COLONY released their debut album, 'Divine', during 2003 via Italy's Scarlet Records. BLINDED COLONY parted ways with Svensson in January of 2005, bringing in substitute Johan Schuster of TDPP and solo project PLOUGHBILL. The revised version of the band cut a self-titled demo that March, recording at Soundpalace Studios 2005 with producer Johan Blomstrom.

BLINDED COLONY contracted with Pivotal Rockordings in March 2006 to record a new album, 'Bedtime Prayers', once again utilising Sound Palace Studios. Originally intended for a 2006 issue, the album was pushed back into January 2007. A promotional video for the song 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' was directed by Thomas Tjäder.

BLINDED COLONY partnered with EKTOMORF and KAYSER for European tour dates throughout February and into March 2007.

In April 2008 the band inducted ex-EVILDOER guitarist Martin Bergman. Singer Denny Axelsson opted out in October.
