Biography

Helsingborg's Thrash outfit DEMISE was assembled in 1990, initiated by the erstwhile GOD B.C. pairing of guitarist Pierre Richter and bass player Jesper Granath. Pulling in drummer Peter Wildoer, the group cut a demo 'Prophecy' in June 1991. Both later addition to the ranks, guitarist Christofer Malmström, and Wildoer had also been involved with eighties Power Metal band ZANINEZ. A second session, entitled 'Visions' in 1992, then secured a deal with Crypta Records for the 'Delusions' album. However, at this juncture the group discovered the existence of the US based DEMISE and duly switched title to AGRETATOR, being a compromise on two favoured name suggestions 'Aggressor' and 'Agitator'.

AGRETATOR subsequently issued a self-financed EP 'Distorted Logic', recorded at Studiofabriken in Malmö, in 1996 before folding in 1998. The core of AGRETATOR, guitarist Christofer Malmström, bassist Jörgen Löfberg and Peter Wildoer all went on to DARKANE. Wildoer also figured in TIME REQUIEM, ARCH ENEMY, on their 1998 'Stigmata' album, and ARMAGEDDON.
