Gothenburg brutal Death Metal act STABWOUND was created in 2000 by vocalist / guitarist Ante and bassist Freddy, subsequently drafting drummer Oskar and guitarist Per Ahre. STABWOUND released the 2002 demo 'Malicious Addiction', after which Viktor Linder assumed the drum position. Another change saw Freddy's exit. 'Bloodsoaked Serenades', with Ahre recording bass parts, arrived in November 2003 via Italian label The Flood Records. These sessions included a cover version of DYING FETUS' 'Kill Your Mother Rape Your Dog'.

'Human Boundaries' saw issue in April 2004 through US imprint Brutal Records. Henke Crant from SOILS OF FATE sessioned vocals on the tracks 'Trans Gender Mutilation' and 'Divine Gluttony'. STABWOUND undertook US touring that same year. The band folded in April 2005 with the main contingent of musicians forming Hardcore outfit NERVE.

Vocalist Uffe Nylin also fronts LAST WORDS WRITTEN, CRANIAL DEVOURMENT, MYSOGYNY, RUINOUS and British Brutal Death Metal act INVOCATE in alliance with vocalist Oliver, of OCULAR FORNICATION and CREPITATION and Dan, of IMINDAIN, CREPITATION and SARPANITUM, handling guitar, bass and programming.
