A high profile Melodic Metal side project convened in Gothenburg by HAMMERFALL guitarist Stefan Elmgren during down time in the high flying Swedish Metal band's schedule in the latter half of 2001. Joining Elmgren on the FULL STRIKE venture would be erstwhile LOST HORIZON singer Niclas Jonsson, ex-CRAWLEY bassist Chris Savage Goldsmith and FREAK KITCHEN drummer Björn Fryklund.

Upon announcement of the May 2002 debut album 'We Will Rise' through the Spitfire label Elmgren also revealed that Fryklund's position had been taken by a former HAMMERFALL compatriot Patrik Räfling and LOST HORIZON's Fredrik Olsson would augment the band for live work. FULL STRIKE debuted live in Gothenburg on April 19th and the album debuted on the Swedish national charts at a highly respectable no. 6 position. FULL STRIKE lent support to FREEDOM CALL's October Scandinavian tour dates.

Reports emerged in early 2003 that vocalist Niclas Johnson and drummer Patrik Räfling had created a side project band entitled JAGGERNAUT.
