Biography

Gothenburg's DREAMLAND, a self-styled "Hot n' hard" Rock band, debuted with a three track demo billed 'Masquerade'. The group comprised frontman Joacim Lundberg, guitarists Fredrik Josefsson and Johan Eriksson, bassist Mats Rendlert and drummer Marcus Sköld. Subsequently, Josefsson was usurped by NME WITHIN's Eric Rauti. Alongside HAMMERFALL guitarist Oskar Dronjak, ex-DREAMLAND drummer Jesse Lindskog and THE BREEDING vocalist Dan Cardensjö both Rauti and Rendlert operate with Metal covers band METAL MONARCHS.

The band was then credited as being discovered by HAMMERFALL vocalist Joacim Cans, signed to newly established German label Dockyard 1 for the debut album 'Future's Calling', produced by a heavyweight team of KING DIAMOND guitarist by Andy LaRocque, Joacim Cans and singer Joacim Lundberg, also of DREAM EVIL. Cans also contributed backing vocals. Japanese versions of the album, put out by Avalon Marquee, added an extra track 'Masquerade'.

In January 2006 Marcus Sköld left DREAMLAND, being replaced by Jesse Lindskog of DRAGONLAND and NOSTRADAMEUS. The band convened with Andy LaRocque and Joacim Cans once again at Los Angered studios in Gothenburg during late September to cut a second album 'Eye For An Eye'.
