HEED, formulated in 2005 comprises the high profile cast of erstwhile LOST HORIZON members singer Daniel Heiman, also having CONVICTION credentials, and guitarist Fredrik Olsson, ex-SEVENTH ONE bassist Jörgen Olsson and the LOST HORIZON, SEVENTH ONE, DREAMS FALL and TEARS OF SAHARA credited Mats Karlsson on drums. In LOST HORIZON Heiman and Olsson had gone under the stage names 'Etherial Mangnanimus' and 'Equilibrian Epicurius' respectively. Upon their immediate departure from LOST HORIZON in 2004 Heiman joined CRYSTAL EYES whilst Olsson teamed up with DESTINY.

The band cut a two song demo recording at Bohus Studios with producers Tobias Lindell and Dragan Tanaskovic of Bohus Entertainment. The HEED quartet recorded a debut album in June. Backing vocals would be on supply from former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and GLORY frontman Göran Edman. The band severed ties with both bassist Jörgen Olsson and drummer Mats Karlsson in December.

An all new HEED roster of players was announced in February 2006 with fresh recruits numbering the OPRESSOR and TON OF BRICKS credited guitarist Martin Andersson, bass player bassist Tommy Larsson of CHASTISEMENT, JAGGERNAUT and DREAM EVIL repute with drummer Ufuk Demir having association with SHADOWBUILDER, POEM and RELEVANT FEW. At the same juncture the group also signed with Metal Heaven Records for a European release of 'The Call'.

HEED cut new demos in April 2007. However, the band was put on ice in September 2008.

Announced during early 2009, Daniel Heiman came back to the fore by announcing LAVETT, comprising a cast of well known Swedish musicians in Michael Niklasson, from DARK TRANQUILLITY, on bass, Robert Vintervind, of BESEECH, on guitar, Manne Engström, from BESEECH and FATAL EMBRACE, on guitar, plus Christian Silver, of SUNDOWN and CEMETARY, on the drums.
