Biography

A Falun based Death / Thrash unit 21 LUCIFERS was formulated in 2002 by former FIVE MORE VICTIMS vocalist / guitarist Erik Skoglund, ex-WITHOUT GRIEF bassist Ola Berg and BLUDGE drummer Björn Åström. Two Grindcore orientated tracks would be recorded after which the trio settled on a band name of GRIDLOCK. Subsequently another WITHOUT GRIEF member, guitarist Nicklas Lindh, enrolled and steered the band into Thrashier territory. With Skoglund opting to concentrate purely on vocals a third WITHOUT GRIEF man was enlisted as second guitarist in the form of Tobias Ols.

21 LUCIFERS issued the 2002 demo 'Retaliation', recorded at Black Lounge Studios and produced by Jonas Kjellgren. Changes in the 21 LUCIFERS line-up during 2003 saw the incorporation of bassist Pär "Sodomizer" Eriksson and drummer Olle Ferner, both having credits with AVSMAK. The demo 'Hope Fades' emerged in 2004, prompting a label deal with the Dutch record company Karmageddon Media. Recording at Black Lounge Studios the band wrapped up their debut album 'In The Name Of...' in October.

21 LUCIFERS signed to JMT Music in December 2005.
