Falkenberg based THE ANCIENT'S REBIRTH started out in the early nineties billed as DESERT RITUAL. A name change to INFERNUS RITUAL was soon eclipsed by a subsequent shift to THE ANCIENT'S REBIRTH. The 1992 roster counted the GODDAMNED and MORIA credited vocalist / guitarist Dennis Widén, guitarist Henrik Bengtsson, bass player Martin Qvist and drummer Patrik Bergström, the rhythm section superseded by Anders Brorsson and Oskar Frankki respectively. As such the band released two 1993 demo sessions 'Culte De Diabolos' and 'Of Wrath'. During that same year both Qvist, switching to the vocal / guitar role, and Brorsson founded ABLAZE MY SORROW. A third set from THE ANCIENT'S REBIRTH, 'Below The Nocturnal Skies', arriving in 1995.

THE ANCIENT'S REBIRTH folded in 1999 following issue of the EP 'Damnated Hell's Arrival' through the Necropolis label. Qvist was to journey through numerous Swedish extreme Metal formations such as FALL FROM GRACE, APOCRYPHA, DEIFICATION and, under the pseudonym 'Goat N', IMMEMOREAL. Brorsson gained credits with CREMATION, DEIFICATION and SERENE IMPIETY.
