Founded in Gothenburg during early 2007, Metal project DEAD BY APRIL, fronted by singer Jimmie Strimell of DESPITE, PAINFIELD, NIGHTRAGE and DEATHDESTRUCTION repute, features RAPTURE, DRAGONLAND and THE RETURNING guitarist Olof Mörck, M.A.N guitar player Martin Meyerman and bassist Staffan Persson of WHEN WE FALL. Drummer Richard Evansand's scene credentials included SORCEROR, MANIC DEPRESSION, IT'S ALIVE, SOUTHPAW, DOG FACED GODS, DEMONOID, THERION, TALISMAN, LIONS SHARE, SOILWORK, CHIMAIRA and EBONY TEARS.

DEAD BY APRIL released a digital single entitled 'Losing You' in Sweden on 6th March 2009, by April this track had successfully climbed to the no. 1 position on the national charts. A debut album was produced by Henrik Edenhed.

DEAD BY APRIL made its debut UK appearance with a headline show on 27th May at the Barfly in Camden Town, North London. The group performed at the inaugural UK 'Sonisphere' festival at Knebworth Park in August 2009 headlined by METALLICA, LINKIN PARK, NINE INCH NAILS and HEAVEN AND HELL.

DEAD BY APRIL subsequently supported SKINDRED on a U.K. tour in September and October. To coincide a new digital single was released 28th September via Spinefarm Records entitled 'Angels Of Clarity'. This included a remix version conducted by Shawn Crahan of SLIPKNOT.
