Announced in December 2004, CODE is a Swedish / American melodic Hard Rock band featuring notable performers such as singer Sherwood Ball, of SHERWOOD BALL N' CHAIN repute, former GRAND ILLUSION men guitarist Ola af Trampe and Anders Rydholm on bass, guitars and keyboards. Trampe also holds credits with MY CURSE. In February 2006 CODE revealed that DAVID LEE ROTH band credited drummer Gregg Bissonette was to join the line-up.

Recording in Växjö, Sweden and Hollywood, Los Angeles, CODE readied a debut album for issue in 2006 through UK label Escape Music. Former GRAND ILLUSION singer Per Svensson aided on backing vocals.
