BOOK OF REFLECTIONS is a mainly Scandinavian "All star" symphonic, neo-classical Power Metal project assembled by former ETERNITY guitarist LARS ERIC MATTSON. Vocals would be supplied by Andy Engberg of SORCERER, LION'S SHARE, DREAMS FALL and SECTION A, Mikael Holm of WINTERLONG, Hubi Meisel from DREAMSCAPE and Torgny Stjärnfelt of CONDITION RED. Secondary guitars came courtesy of Rusty Cooley with the Ukrainian ARTENSION and RING OF FIRE credited VITALIJ KUPRIJ on keyboards with drums supplied by Eddie Sledgehammer.

Recording tracks all composed by Mattson, BOOK OF REFLECTIONS laid down the eponymous opening album in late 2003. It would see European release, incorporating a bonus track 'Blood From A Stone', through the Finnish Lion Music label in June of 2004. The guitarist set to work on a new MATTSON album for the following year.

BOOK OF REFLECTIONS returned in November 2006 with 'Chapter II: Unfold The Future'. Anand Mahangoe from SPHERE OF SOULS donated guitar work whilst additional keyboards were on hand from Italian maestro MISTHERIA. Lead vocals would be supplied by Bjorn Jansson from TEARS OF ANGER and Martin LeMar of TOMORROW'S EVE.

In early 2007 the guitarist provided guest playing on Chicago based British guitarist ANDREW BORDONI's solo album entitled 'Andrew Bordoni & Friends'.
