A German / Swedish 'supergroup', of sorts, BILLIONAIRES BOYS CLUB comprised former ACCEPT guitarist Jörg Fischer and one-time YNGWIE MALMSTEEN vocalist MARK BOALS. The singer was joined by former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN colleagues Anders Johansson on drums and Marcel Jacob on bass guitar, the latter 'on loan' from TALISMAN.

Gaining a deal with Polydor Records the group recorded a single album, 'Something Wicked Comes' and recruited Swedish bassist Magnus Rosén to the ranks before going their seperate ways; Boals actually winding up on a second tour of duty fronting another of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN's bands. Magnus Rosén joined HAMMERFALL in 1997. MARK BOALS has issued solo albums. Anders Johansson briefly enrolled into the ranks of STRATOVARIUS but found a more stable home with HAMMERFALL.

Sad news arrived from Jeff Scott Soto in July 2009 when the singer issued a news release regarding Marcel Jacob, stating "It is with deep regret and remorse I, along with fellow members of TALISMAN, am announcing our brother, longtime colleague and overall greatest musician we've ever played with, Marcel Jacob, is no longer with us as of today, Tuesday July 21, 2009. Marcel took his own life after many years of personal and health issues he was battling."
