An infamous Death Metal act with a deeply rooted Thrash bias. DELLAMORTE, created in Avesta, was rooted in the 1990 band INTERMENT, established by erstwhile HATRED and ASOCIAL guitarist Johan Jansson. Vocalist Jonas Kjellgren is ex-PEXILATED and SICKENSIDE. During 1993 INTERMENT evolved briefly into MOONDARK before settling on DELLAMORTE. A 1995 demo, 'Drunk In The Abyss', landed a deal with the Finn label, recording in a mere 4 days the now very scarce but highly sought after album 'Everything You Hate'. The following year a 7" single, 'Dirty', emerged through the Yellow Dog label and prompted the interest of the Kron-H label, a subsidiary of French concern Osmose Productions. DELLAMORTE released the sophomore 'Uglier And More Disgusting' album, produced by Peter Tägtgren of HYPOCRISY, and set about promoting it as part of the 'World Domination' tour billed alongside DARK TRANQUILITY and ENSLAVED. Added exposure was garnered with the subsequent inclusion of DELLAMORTE on the follow up 'World Domination Live' CD and video.

1998 would witness both Jansson and vocalist Jonas Kjellgren, still retaining their allegiance to DELLAMORTE, joining the renowned Deathsters CENTINEX. Paradoxically though, the duo would switch roles in CENTINEX, Jansson becoming a lead vocalist and Kjellgren adopting guitar. DELLAMORTE bassist Daniel Ekeroth would not be left on the sidelines when it came to side ventures, the four-stringer joining INSISION.

Third album, 'Home Sweet Hell' produced once again by Peter Tägtgren, arrived in 1999. DELLAMORTE welcomed in new drummer Kennet Englund, a veteran of MOONDARK, UNCANNY and SUBDIVE. That same June Englund too would team up with CENTINEX.

Besides DELLAMORTE and CENTINEX both Jansson and Kjellgren are members of the SIDEBURNERS. Jansson would also be busying himself with UNCURBED and Kjellgren too had affiliations to another act in the high profile CARNAL FORGE.

Matthias Norrman would tour as bassist for OPETH in 2001, a quiet year for DELLAMORTE with the band only putting in one gig during March. Jonas Kjellgren proved industrious throughout 2004, acting as producer for TORCHBEARER's album 'Yersinia Pestis' and forging a brand new melodic Death Metal combo, fronted by the INCAPACITY, UNMOORED, SOLAR DAWN and TORCHBEARER credited Christian Älvestam, entitled SCAR SYMMETRY for an album 'Symmetric In Design'. Johan Jansson joined REGURGITATE in September 2006.

In June 2009 Daniel Ekeroth joined IRON LAMB, a new "Filth Rock n' Roll' band formed by veterans Johan Wallin, of GENERAL SURGERY, SCURVY, BOMBSTRIKE, ex-REPUGNANT, Grga Lindström, ex-REPUGNANT and Thomas Daun, of DISMEMBER, ex-REPUGNANT, ex-INSISION.
