Biography

TARZEN mainman DANNY PEYRONEL was previously in the ranks of the BLUE MAX, HEAVY METAL KIDS and UFO. Peyronel then journeyed back to his birthplace of Argentina to join RIFF before relocating to Spain and joining BANZAI. Whilst in Spain Peyronel created a short-lived 'supergroup' consisting of CREAM drummer GINGER BAKER, ex-MOODY BLUES and WINGS guitarist Denny Laine and ex-FAMILY and BLIND FAITH bassist Ric Grech. The project fell apart and Peyronel founded TARZEN.

TARZEN originally comprised Peyronel, his erstwhile BANZAI colleague Salvador Dominquez on guitar, ex-GRAND PRIX bassist Ralph Hood and Danny's brother Michel on drums. The TARZEN album was produced by Stuart Epps. Before long Dominiquez was ousted in favour of ex-STAMPEDE, GRAND SLAM and L.A. SECRETS guitarist Lawrence Archer in 1986. Archer would form RHODE ISLAND RED and subsequently join UFO for their 'High Stakes And Dangerous Men' album.

DANNY PEYRONEL would adopt a radical shift in musical direction by becoming a Spinto Tenor performing in Opera. Latterly the man has issued a 2002 solo album 'Make The Monkey Dance' as well as resurrecting the HEAVY METAL KIDS for a comeback album.
