    Biography

LUNATIC GODS was founded in the summer of 1993 with a line up of guitarist Pavel 'Hirax' Baricak, vocalist Mortis, keyboard player King (a.k.a. Ivan Kral) and drummer Psycho as BESTIALIT. Under this title the band debuted in 1994 by sharing a split CD 'Fuckland' with DEHYDRATED for the Metal Age Productions label. With the addition of second lead singer Emil and bassist Richard BESTIALIT evolved into LUNATIC GODS and shifted musical direction into the realms of atmospheric, symphonic Death Metal.

The Italian Polyphemus label picked the band up for their April 1996 debut 'Inhuman And Insensible' before a switch back to Metal Age Productions resulted in the 1998 follow up 'Sitting By The Fire'. LUNATIC GODS would contribute a track to a METALLICA tribute assembled by Energie Records, also releasing this seperately as part of the 'Cuckoo' EP.

During 2000 both Mortis and King departed, the latter launching his own trad Metal band KING for an album 'Royal Metal'. LUNATIC GODS regrouped by pulling in singer Horar and second guitarist Luboslav for the third album 'The Wilderness'.

A 2004 re-issue of 'Inhuman And Insensible' on Hrom Records added bonus tracks 'Cuckoo' and a cover version of METALLICA's 'Phantom Lord'. The 1998 album 'Sitting By The Fire' would also be re-released with extra tracks. That same year new studio album 'Mythus' also arrived.
