GORKY PARK first came to western notice when they featured on the 1991 Doc McGhee organized 'Make A Difference' Moscow peace festival alongside BON JOVI, SCORPIONS, OZZY OSBOURNE and MȪTLEY CRÜE. Later the same year the band spent time in American colleges on an anti drugs campaign tour.

GORKY PARK's 1989 Vertigo debut album was produced by Bruce Fairbairn with the exception, which of the track 'Peace In Our Tme' was produced by JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA.

The band re-appeared in 1993 with the 'Moscow Calling' album, having switched labels to Ariola. The 2000 line-up of GORKY PARK included the ANGELS & DEMONS and TOLERANCE credited Alex Nelidov on vocals and bass.
