Lusitanian Black Metal act CORPUS CHRISTII is the product of two NOCTU members keyboard player Ignis Nox and multi instrumentalist Nocturnus Horrendus. Guitarist Guardiäu enrolled in 1999. A demo 'Anno Domini' arrived upfront of the debut 2000 album 'Saeculum Domoni' on So Die Music and a split 7" single 'Decadentia Christii' released through Hiberica Records shared with DECAYED. The 2001 offering 'The Fire God' notably saw a guest studio session on the track 'Buried By Time And Dust' from bassist Jørn Stubberud, better known as MAYHEM's Necrobutcher. French label Drakkar Productions distributed a two track tape release in 2002 entitled 'Master Of...'.

The band also put in an appearance at the 2003 'Steel Warriors Rebellion VI' festival alongside ENTHRONED, INTERNAL SUFFERING, KATATONIA, FINNTROLL, HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL, NEOPLASMAH, PITCH BLACK, ATTICK DEMONS, IN THY FLESH, AXE MURDERERS, AGONIZED, THANATOSCHIZO, FLAGELLUM DEI and ETERNAL MOURNING,

An extreme Black Metal pact between Kommander Horrendus and Kommander Noktu of French band CELESTIA resulted in the GENOCIDE KOMMANDO 2003 'Black Metal Supremacy' album. The 'Tormented Beliefs' album was manufactured on CD by Undercover Records and was distributed through Total Holocaust Records in cassette format the same year. Vinyl versions added an extra track in 'Me, The Hanged One'.

Nocturnus Horrendus also held affiliations with MORTE INCANDESCENTE and COLDNESS. With the latter project he issued a split cassette 'Our Putrefacted Essence' shared with IRAE.

CORPUS CHRISTII's 2004 recording line up saw Nocturnus Horrendus joined by Frenchman LSK of VORKREIST, ANTEAUS and HELL MILITIA on bass with Sweden's Tore Stjerna, a.k.a. Necromorbus of WATAIN, FUNERAL MIST and IN AETERNUM on drums. A live band would be completed the FLAGELLUM DEI guitar pairing of D. Sabaoth and Vulturius.

The Polish label Agonia Records handled the release of a split CD 'F.O.A.D.' in union with THESYRE. LSK departed later that year.
