Biography
SACRIVERSUM, manifested in the Spring of 1992 by the former DEAD EVIL triumvirate of vocalist / bassist Remigiusz 'Remo' Mielczarek, guitarist Herszt and drummer Slepy, are noted for ambitiously noted for attempting a Gothic Metal homage to Irish poet Samuel Beckett with 2000's 'Beckettia'.
SACRIVERSUM evolved as Remo, after recording the 'Devilri' tape and putting in six gigs as a member of PANDEMONIUM, rejoined his erstwhile DEAD EVIL colleagues Herszt and Slepy in a new band venture. The band paid their dues with the demo session 'Dreams Of Destiny', released in November of 1992 and limited to just 100 copies. Expanding their sound, SACRIVERSUM added keyboard player Baran during 1993. 'The Shadow Of The Golden Fire' demo then followed in November 1994. Despite an increase in exposure afforded by support gigs to TIAMAT and SENTENCED in January of 1995 Baran opted out, signalling a complete re-structuring of the band unit as Herszt too exited. Guitarists Mariusz 'Mario' Kuszewski and Sunrise enrolled with Bürger of TENEBRIS taking over the keyboard role and female vocalist Alexandra forming up the new look SACRIVERSUM.
SACRIVERSUM's transition from their early Death Metal to more meloncholic Gothic sounds had become apparent by their debut album 'Soteria', released in Poland through Morbid Noizz Productions and across mainland Europe by Last Episode Productions. Increased live activity saw two Polish tours, allied with AION and ARTROSIS, and subsequently LUX OCCULTA and DAMNATION. With both Slepy and Alexandra departing, new vocalist Katarzyna 'Kate' Gluszkiewicz and drummer Zombie Attack were added prior to recording the 'Beckettia' album during October of 1999. Frustratingly for the group, 'Beckettia' did not see the light of dau until a full year later, after which keyboard player Anna Turwon supplanted Bürger and Sunrise was usurped by Krystian 'MacKozer' Kozerawski.
The band participated in the mammoth CLOSTERKELLER headlined tour throughout Poland in November 2003 dubbed the 'Dark Stars' festivals. Joining the band for these dates would be a supporting cast including MOONLIGHT and DELIGHT.
In 2005 no less than three members of SACRIVERSUM were operational with ARTROSIS, guitarist MacKozer (Krystian Kozerawski), bass player Remo (Remigiusz Mielczarek) and Lombardo (Konrad Biczak) on drums.
