Biography

A complex Hard Rock band with an esteemed pedigree. VAGABOND was formed by the TNT duo of Ronnie Le Tekrø and Morty Black after the demise of the popular Norwegian Hard Rock band in 1993. Teaming up with TNT's live keyboard player Dag Stokke and ex-STAGE DOLLS drummer Steiner Krokstad, VAGABOND initially looked at working with ex-SONS OF ANGELS vocalist Solli, before discovering the talents of Jorn Lande.

Despite rave reviews and fairly decent sales at home in Norway, totalling around 10'000 copies, EMI chose to drop the band, who were then signed by the Japanese Victor label on the strength of the TNT connections. The second album was released in Europe through the band's own label.

Le Tekrø took time out to forge an alliance with noted Norwegian Jazz Rock guitarist TERJE RYPDAL. The resulting RYPDAL & TEKRØ albums saw both Stokke and Krokstad contributing.

In light of the TNT reformation during 1996 the future for VAGABOND looked bleak. Lande teamed up with the former WHITESNAKE guitar duo of MICKY MOODY and BERNIE MARSDEN to create THE SNAKES. Other work found the much in demand Lande fronting MUNDUS IMPERIUM, MILLENNIUM and in late 2000 touring with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN in America.

A solo album from JORN LANDE emerged in 2000.
