Stavanger's SHADOW SEASON, an assemblage of Norwegian and Irish musicians including GEHENNA guitarist Nekro with ZYKLON and ex-EMPEROR drummer Trym Torson (a.k.a. Kai Johnny Mosaker), signed to the Portuguese Sound Riot label for a December 2002 entitled 'The Frozen'. These recordings saw the inclusion of guest vocalists in GEHENNA's Sanrabb and FORLORN's Dolgar. Winter, Void and Nout are all former members of the Irish act WITCHHAMMER.

Trym, also active with PAGANIZE, joined the reformation EMPEROR line-up in September 2005.
