Biography

Stavanger's LJÅ perform grim Black Metal interlaid with acoustic passages. The group manifested itself from an earlier formation billed as KNØFFLIHEI comprising singer Neievrut, guitarist Rebnord and drummer Natael. In June of 2002 ex-NEETZACH and MALICE guitarist Darktrond joined the fold, this move signalling the transition to LJÅ. This unit debuted with the 'Vedderbaug' demo. Hallwar (a.k.a. Halvor Larsen), a founder member of BLACK LODGE, then joined on bass for a second session 'Lam Av Synd I Angest Sjø'.

The band issued a split single 'Skamslaadte Engler' shared with KOLDBRANN in 2004 through Aftermath Music. Naturally this release was restricted to 666 copies. The album 'Til Avsky For Livet', once again limited to 666 copies, emerged in February 2006.
