Biography

CAERIMONIUM are self-styled "masters of grief" from Stavanger. The band is apparently rooted in the Summer 2001 "not so serious" band unit CIMF ("Cum In My Face'), including Bladorthín Lónafell (a.k.a, Kjell Haavard Høie of ZPECIMEN) and Grimlock (Ketil Espenæs). An album, 'Sodomia', was recorded with the studio aid of another ZPECIMEN member guitarist Nesfelloth (Thomas Tollefsen). That Christmas, Bladorthín and Nesfelloth vowed to forge a serious musical endeavour, inducting yet another ex-ZPECIMEN musician Neztreviz (Sindre Sivertsen) to participate. Rounding out the band would be second guitarist Aslak Nag and keyboard player Uziel (Øystein Kjellevold). Initially the band took on the title SOLITAIRE but soon after switched to LOST WITHIN.

Bladorthín Lónafell added the role of keyboard player with FORLORN to his duties in August of 2003. The band would debut live on 5th October at the Høstmarken festival in Randaberg Sentrum. Shortly after this gig Nesfelloth was forced out of the band in order to undertake his compulsary military service. Due to the discovery of another act bearing the same name the group evolved into CAERIMONIUM. The demo 'Within The Dark Realm' arrived in September 2004.

CAERIMONIUM lost the services of guitarist Kristian Mong in November 2005. K. Seculis dropped out in 2006.
