Biography

Highly regarded Melodic Rock act SONS OF ANGELS made serious headway on American radio. Following the release of the debut Michael Wagener produced album SONS OF ANGELS relocated to America. Having recruited new drummer Tony Johnsson in late 1991 and signed to EMI-SBK Records, the band's intended follow up album was produced by Duane Baron and John Purdelli but the band became a victim of record company politics and the rapid rise of Grunge. They would fold during 1992.

Frontman Hans Olav Solli later joined ex-THIN LIZZY guitarist Scott Gorham in 21 GUNS and also worked very briefly with VAGABOND before joining ex-IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith in PSYCHO MOTEL. In 1998 he was seen once more as a member of 21 GUNS and would also spend a term with Harstad based Hard Rock outfit CAT EYE.

SONS OF ANGELS made a return in 2001 touting the 'Slumber With The Lion' comeback album. Meantime Solli marked a return in 2004 with his new band GREENHOUZE. In 2005 drummer Geir Digernes forged EIDSIVATING in collaboration with DA VINCI members guitarist Gunnar Westlie and keyboard player Dag Selboskar plus Leif Digernes and Øystein Mo.
