Established in 1989, REQUIEM was a forerunner to OLD MAN'S CHILD. The band comprised former DØDHEIMSGARD man Grusom (a.k.a. Thomas Rune Andersen), handling vocals, guitar and bass, ex-STRID guitarist Jardar (Jon Øyvind Andersen) with DIMMU BORGIR's Tjodalv (Kenneth Åkesson) on drums. REQUIEM's only product would a 1993 demo, restricted to just 50 copies. Further to OLD MAN'S CHILD, Andersen also scored credits with DIMMU BORGIR. Åkesson also worked with SUSPERIA.
