Biography

"Autocratic" Black Metal unit created in Røyken during the summer of 2000 by MYRKSKOG and SLAVIA man Kshatriya (a.k.a. Haakon Nikolas Forwald). Recording line-up for the 2002 'Vama Marga' EP was quoted at Kshatriya, guitarist MK Ultra, keyboard player Gestalt KON and drummer Zhar. Upon completion Zhar bowed out and Trym of ZYKLON, EMPEROR and ENSLAVED took the drum position.

DISIPLIN readied the album 'Titan Imperia - The Age Of Iron' for 2003 release, although this album, recorded at Akkerhaugen Lydstudios, would subsequently emerge through the Moonfog Productions label simply entitled 'Disiplin'. Key guests for these sessions included the EMPEROR pairing of Zamoth and Bård Faust Eithun. Also issued that year would be the EP 'The DeathRite Sessions', a split outing shared with KHAOS KOMMANDO and seeing Cosmocrator of ZYKLON, SOURCE OF TIDE and MINDGRINDER on session drums.

SLAVIA vocalist Ausslavia ('Jonas aus Slavia' or 'Jonas Christ') would be announced as joining the fold that July, allowing Forwald to concentrate on guitar duties. In June of 2004 Invictus, working with both Samoth and Trym of ZYKLON and Cosmocrator from MINDGRINDER, participated in recordings for a WINDIR tribute album to honour the memory of the late Valfar.

Recording of a new album for Moonfog, at first entitled 'Quimbanda' then switched to 'Anti-Life', recorded in August at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio, would see Steve Austin of TODAY IS THE DAY selected as producer. CARPATHIAN FOREST's Nattefrost guested on vocals. In September General K was revealed to be participating in HELVETE, a Black Metal "Supergroup" alllied with DARKTHRONE frontman Nocturno Culto, bassist Hellcommander Nattefrost from CARPATHIAN FOREST and drummer Faust, ex-EMPEROR and DISSECTION. Drummer Nex joined MINDGRINDER in February 2005.

It was revealed that just prior to the issue of 'Anti-life' Drakul Azacain culled his entire band membership, drafting new faces in the ANTARCTICA and SHAARIMOTH pairing of vocalist Rune Andreassen and Frode Ramsland on guitar. June of 2005 saw Forwald joining DISSECTION as bassist. In January 2006 DISIPLIN announced the addition of Italian drummer Massimo Altomare (a.k.a. M:A FOG), of BLACK FLAME, DAEMUSINEM, DYING AWKWARD ANGEL, DARK REALITY, ALLOST and MORTUARY DRAPE repute, to the group's ranks.
