Biography

Asker / Blystadlia Thrashers AUDIOPAIN initially went by the title HÆ?, releasing an April 1997 demo restricted to 500 copies, 'LVT'. Significantly, the opening track 'Father' featured a scream donated by none other than Maniac from MAYHEM. Bass player Petter Berntsen has ties to GHOUL-CULT, VED BUENS ENDE and VIRUS. Sverre Dæhli scored backing vocal credits on DARKTHRONE's 'Plaguewielder', featuring on the track 'Command'.

As AUDIOPAIN the band debuted in April 2000 with a demo entitled 'Contagious', this release limited to 100 hand numbered copies. A further three manufacturing runs were undertaken to cope with demand. Another demo, the December 2000 session '1986', was also issued in 100 hand numbered CD-Rs and consequently in another three pressings. AUDIOPAIN issued the EP 'Revel In Desecration' in 2003. That same year Worship Him Records issued a split 7" single shared with MYSTICUM.

The album 'The Traumatizer' emerged in April 2004. During 2005 the 'Contagious' and '1986' demos were re-mastered for commercial issue in North America via Vendlus Records. Two 'Überthrash' series 7" singles, both limited runs of 500 copies, were released by Duplicate Records in May 2005, both four way splits in alliance with AURA NOIR, NOCTURNAL BREED and INFERNÖ.

In early 2006 AUDIOPAIN announced a collaborative 7" single through Worship Him Records to be shared with Québec THESYRE and a further split, 'The Inhumator' on Hearse Records limited to 500 copies, in collaboration with DEAD TO THIS WORLD in September.
