A project of EMPEROR member Samoth's former partner Nebel and Nechthexe (a.k.a. Tanja Stene), erstwhile partner of DARKTHRONE's Fenriz. AGHAST offered dark, Gothic Rock on the July 1995 released solitary album, 'Hexerei Im Zweilicht Der Finsternis' issued through Cold Meat Industry. This set, reputedly recorded using the vocal microphone of the late Dead of MAYHEM, was limited to 500 vinyl copies.

Nachthexe's name is also widely known on the Norwegian Black Metal scene as an accomplished artist, designing the DARKTHRONE covers for 'Ferdasyn' and 'Taakeferd' plus executing designs for both ULVER and BURZUM. In 1997 Nebel formulated a further vehicle for her endeavours titled HAGALAZ' RUNEDANCE under her real name of Andrea M. Haugen. The artist issued solo project billed as NEBELHEXË as the 'Laguz - Within The Lake' album in 2004.
