FENRIZ' RED PLANET is a retro-Doom Metal project of DARKTHRONE's Febnriz (a.k.a. Gylve Nagell). It was originally conceived under the brand name PILGRIM SANDS in 1989, but after the recording of a solitary track this venture was halted.

Four years later, in 1993, Fenriz re-activated the concept, recording three tracks using a four track recorder at Necrohell Studios. The tracks were not made public. However, Apollyon of AURA NOIR played the music to NATTEFROST in 2002, who in turn persuaded Fenriz to issue the tracks as the May 2009 split album 'Engangsgrill'.
