Hailing from the island of Karmøy on the Western coast of Norway, Gothic Metal formation EVIG NATT, forged in December 2002, had a six-track demo called 'I Am Silence' issued during 2003. The band was formed by Kirsten Jørgensen, a vocal student at the Paul McCartney school in Liverpool, and Stein Sund, the latter an ex-EINHERJER man, also citing credits with THUNDRA and DWELLING SOULS. Harald Magne Revheim of THUNDRA provided session drums with Rune Fredriksen contributing guitar solos. Other involved included Thomas Ljosåk of VESEN on additional vocals and cellist Tord Øverland Knutsen.

In 2007 the Omvina label released the album 'I Am Silence', recorded by Thomas Poole Kerr at Grove Park Studios. Stein Sund relinquished his lead vocal duties in October 2008 as new recruit Oskar Naley was enlisted.
