Biography

A Hamar based Black Metal act that experiments with pushing the boundaries of the genre. Borne out of a 1998 solo project of H. Ram Zet (Henning Ramseth) the band later evolved with the inclusion of bassist Solem, fiddle player Aud, drummer Küth ('Kent' of MUSTANG) and erstwhile ARTCH vocalist Eric Hawk. Spinefarm Records issued the 'Pure Therapy' debut album in October 2000.

RAM-ZET would perform live for the first time during February 2001. Second opus 'Escape' emerged in April 2002. The band line-up now stood at H. Ram Zet on vocals and guitar, bassist Solem, keyboard player Magnus Østvang, violinists Ingvild Anette Strønen Johannesen and Miriam Elisabeth Renvåg (a.k.a. "Sfinx") with drummer Küth. The latter teamed up with THE KOVENANT on a session basis for live work in 2003. Basist Solem decamped in early 2004, being replaced by Jon Daniel. That same year Henning Ramseth scored production credits on LOWDOWN's 'Unknown' album.

RAM-ZET, having parted ways with keyboard player Magnus Østvang, signed to Tabu Recordings in 2005, working with producer Daniel Bergstrand on a third album entitled 'Intra'. This opus saw a US release via Candlelight Records. Renvåg would contribute guest vocals to the 2006 ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW album 'Before The Bleeding Sun'.
