Biography

Borre based duo NIDINGR was assembled during 1992, initially as a solo undertaking of guitarist Teloch under the title AUDR. Introducing second guitarist Blargh and taking on the NIDINGR brand the first product to enter the public domain was a 1996 rehearsal demo with Walter Moen on vocals. Italian label Hearse Records also issued these sessions in a limited edition vinyl format of 500 copies. A studio demo followed in May 1999. These early recordings saw Per Ivar Ederklepp on drums and Svartedaudun handling bass.

NIDINGR, having inducted vocalist Cpt. Estrella Grasa, signed to the British Rage Of Achilles label in 2003. However, the album 'Sorrow Infinite And Darkness' eventually emerged in June 2005 on the Dark Essence label. NIDINGR drafted Sabizz (a.k.a. Anders Tørressen Hangård) of NOPLACETOHIDE on drums.

In August 2006 Hearse Records compiled archive tracks for the compilation 'Sodomize The Priest', a vinyl issue limited to 500 copies. Svartedaudun exited and Sabizz also took his leave, apparently to focus on his football. Meantime, Teloch joined 1349 as live guitarist, adding to his affiliations with ORCUSTUS, UMORAL, CONDENADO and NONFUCKRITUAL. Teloch also performed live with GORGOROTH.

A December 2006 press release unveiled a fresh line-up, with Seidemann, of KOLDBRANN, as 'Kjøttring', PANTHEON I and 1349 on bass guitar, whilst drum duties were to be shared between Sabizz and Tony Laureano, a US scene veteran whose credentials included ACHERON, ANGELCORPSE, AURORA BOREALIS, GOD DETHRONED, INTERCINE, MALEVOLENT CREATION and NILE.
