Bergen based Black Metal with a rare showing of humour. In spite of the pseudonyms credited DESEKRATOR in reality boast Infernus (a.k.a. Roger Tiegs) and Tormentor of GORGOROTH plus ex-OLD FUNERAL man and 'Slayer' magazine editor Ali Gator (Tore Bratseth), featured on the album tracks 'Bergen-Belzen Svinepelsen' and 'Texas Joe'. ENSLAVED's Ivor Bjornson and Grutle Kjellson are also involved. Infernus also has association with BORKNAGER, NORWEGIAN EVIL and ORCUSTUS whilst Tormentor has ties to GAAHLSKAGG, NORWEGIAN EVIL and ORCUSTUS.

DESEKRATOR debuted with a two song demo in 1997. Dutch label Hammerheart released the 'Metal For Demons' album in June 1998. A three track EP, 'Crucifixion Overdose', emerged that same year.

Outside activities saw Bratseth contributing guest vocals to AMOK's cover of the SEX PISTOL's 'Bodies' on their 2001 'Lava Dictatorship' demo.
