Hamilton Heavy Metal band featuring ex-TYRANT, KNIGHTSHADE and BLACKJACK guitarist Paul Martin and former TIME bassist Cas Wilson. Martin also holds high repute as New Zealand's most prominent Rock and Metal DJ with his radio show 'The Axe Attack' for The Rock FM.

WORLD WAR FOUR had the track 'DHP' included on 'Axe Attack' DJ Paul Martin's 2004 compilation album 'New Zealand Metal Volume 1'. Live work in May 2005 had the group partnered with SHAKHAN, SUBTRACT and CHUGANAUT for the 'Axe Attack' tour. Drummer Tamati Meredith would be replaced by Greg Page, a former member of RUMPUS ROOM. An EP, 'This Hostile Species', arrived that same year.

WORLD WAR FOUR supported HEAVEN AND HELL at Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre in August 2007. That October the group guested for MOTÖRHEAD in October at New Plymouth's TSB Stadium. A further high profile support came in July 2007, the band appearing at the G-TARanaki Guitar Festival on the same bill as the ALEX SKOLNICK TRIO, GILBY CLARKE and ULI JON ROTH.
