Christchurch Death / Grind outfit VIXEN EXECUTION was formed formed in late 2006 by guitarist Geoff Eyles and drummer Ricki. After the pair's first first rehearsal the band recruited vocalist Dan Birrell, guitarist Steven Bell and bassist David Hunt. The band played two shows in Christchurch before parting ways. Ricki and Dan then reformed their previous band OFFAL STENCH while Steven Bell and Dave started a new band SECOND GEAR GRIND.

In early 2007 VIXEN EXECUTION was reformed with drummer Leon Milnes taking the place of Ricki who headed for Australia in persuit of other musical projects. The band drafted second guitarist Kenny Diamond in 2007.

Diamond took his leave in April 2009.
