Auckland Sludgers THE HOUSE OF CAPRICORN involves vocalist Marko Pavlovic, of ASPHYXIATE and CREEPING, guitarist Scott Blomfield, of CREEPING, bass player Ami Holifield and the GRENADE KILLS 3, ULCERATE and VASSAFOR credited drummer Michael Rothwell. As an original concept of Pavolic the name dated back to 2001 as a solo studio concern. It was as the duo of Pavlovic and Rothwell the group issued a two track demo, 'The Rivers And The Rain', in October 2005. Blomfield and Holifield joined to record the follow up, also called 'The Rivers And The Rain', released in June 2006. THE HOUSE OF CAPRICORN also featured David Green, from GRENADE KILLS 3, on guitar.

A two song sampler, 'Solis Hail Summer Sampler', was given away free at concerts in December 2007.
